Lenta opens its fifth hypermarket in Orenburg

St. Petersburg, Russia; 28 December 2017– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its fifth hypermarket in Orenburg.

The new store is Lenta “compact” format hypermarket located in Orenburg at 2 Rokossovskogo street. The store has a total area of 9,861 sq.m with 5,204 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. The store has 360 parking spaces and 28 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. The property is owned by Lenta.

The new store offers a broad product assortment of 20,500 SKUs, which has been selected specifically for residents of Orenburg and includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce.

The new opening is Lenta’s thirty eighth hypermarket launch in 2017 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 229 hypermarkets in 83 cities across Russia and 85 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and the Central region.

Lenta’s largest shareholders include TPG Capital and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, both of which are committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance. Lenta is listed on the London Stock Exchange and on the Moscow Exchange and trades under the ticker: ‘LNTA’.
