LUKOIL's oil refining, petrochemistry and gas processing block and LUKOIL-Nizhegorodniinefteproyekt, the company's engineering and design center that develops oil refining and gas processing facilities successfully passed the international audit of the management systems. Both were recognized as compliant with ISO 56002:2019, the international innovative management approach, applied to engineering and research works, innovative technologies and innovative management systems that are used across LUKOIL's assets.

The management system allows immediate management decisions, efficient introduction of advanced technologies, process and engineering solutions, developed by LUKOIL's own research centers, across the group's process capacities.

"The innovative management system is one of the too​ls we use to maintain the company's leading position in the industry, and we see introduction of the standard to LUKOIL's other oil refining and gas processing facilities as an important component for overall increase of the efficiency of the downstream block," Vice President for Oil Refining, Petrochemistry and Gas Processing Rustem Gimaletdinov said.

LUKOIL-Nizhegorodniinefteproekt LLC is a scientific base and engineering center for the comprehensive improvement of the technological and operational efficiency of production assets throughout the entire life cycle from idea to implementation and operation in the LUKOIL Group's Processing and Sales business segment. The geography of the Institute’s activities covers almost all regions of LUKOIL’s presence in the Russian Federation and other countries. In addition, LUKOIL-Nizhegorodniinefteproekt carries out projects for Russian enterprises not owned by the Company. Each year, the organization prepares about 100 projects for oil refining, petrochemicals and gas processing, which receive positive conclusions from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, and implements investment projects on a turnkey basis.
The audit of the management system was carried out by one of the largest international certification bodies - Bureau Veritas Certification Rus JSC. The Bureau Veritas group was established in 1828 and is a world leader in laboratory testing, inspection and certification. It serves over 400,000 customers in different countries. Carries out certification of management system, industrial products and commodities, fulfills the inspection and classification of ships and offshore platforms, assesses and manages risks in the industry.
