Thanks to excellent organization of cleanup activities, experience of the staff of the station and repairing organization, the repair of the steam generating unit with change of the superheater was executed in the shortest terms and on the high professional level. During existing of the station the boiler was repaired on such level for the first time, a lot of damages of the superheater pipe stimulated powermen to search for the most thermosteady and wear-resistant substance. It was steel “DI-85” with higher operating characteristics and it held the heating temperature of 600 degrees. The pipe was made out of this steel. Powermen of TGC-9 were one of the first in the Urals who applied steel of this brand.

This change will considerably increase the service life period of the boiler with steam capacity of 320 tons per hour and it will increase reliability of heat supply of Ekaterinburg consumers, for which Novo-Sverdlovskaya HPP is one of the central sources of heat and hot water supply.
