In late May, a novel halobutyl rubber unit performed a trial startup having made the first bromobutyl rubber bale. New product samples are currently being tested at R&D for all physical and mechanical properties.
The first output quantified 100 tons of BBR. According to experts, not all amount produced meets quality requirements. Nevertheless, according to Technical Control Division, over 30 tons of that BBR batch was acknowledged as a commodity of adequate quality.
The Unit continues its operation: another butyl rubber batch has been bromated and soon around 60 tons of more BBR will be made.
The first trial lots of BBR will be sent for testing to all tire plants of Russia.
