During Metal Week, the results of the annual competition "Best
Internet Project 2021 among metallurgical and metal trading companies
in Russia and the CIS" were announced.
The competition is organised by Metal Supply &
Sales Magazine with the support of the Russian Union of Metal
Suppliers and the International Industrial Exhibition
"Metal-Expo'2021".
The aim of the competition is to find the best
online solutions that create new ways to interact with customers of
ferrous and non-ferrous products, so that customers can quickly order
the steel products they need for production and repair and
maintenance purposes.
Among the competition winners is MMK Trading House
LLC, which won in the Mobility category (best adaptive and
mobile-friendly website) and in the E-commerce category (best online
shop). MMK Group's corporate marketplace, launched in April of this
year, deserves such high recognition. It is a modern and convenient
service for purchasing and arranging delivery of MMK's products,
which has significantly increased the share of the Company's online
sales and shortened the product chain from manufacturer to end
customer. Products from MMK, MMK-METIZ and other MMK Group companies
are presented on the electronic platform.
The functionality of MMK Group's electronic
platform takes into account the latest trends in online trading. The
intuitive interface of the personal account allows each customer to
form an order, determine delivery terms and conditions, select
additional services, and collect the necessary reporting documents.
The marketplace helped to create a new digital
channel for selling MMK Group and other manufacturers’ steel
products; to increase MMK Group's margins; to increase MMK, MMK
Trading House and MMK-METIZ's visibility through digital channels;
and to improve customer service. During the project development
stage, key technologies were implemented to integrate acquiring and
credit service, an integration layer was created for data exchange
between the information systems of MMK Group companies, and
integration with transport companies was carried out.
