Specialists of the branch of “IDGC of Volga”, JSC – “Penzaenergo” began the first stage of reconstruction of “Yuzhnaya” substation. This stage includes preparatory works (planning of territory, fencing), building of basement for the indoor switchgear (IS) of 6kV voltage and installation of modular building of operations control room in coincidence with IS of 6 kV voltage for 19 cells K63 and K61 equipped with modern vacuum switchers. At this date planning works are fulfilled and basements are laid. Installation of module building began on the eve of June 22. “Yuzhnaya” substation of 110/6 kV voltage is situated in Pervomaysky district of Penza. It supplies the biggest part of Penza and such huge consumers as State Administration of Central Bank of Russian Federation, CJSC “Electromechanics”, Research and Development enterprise “Era”, JSC IPK “Truth of Penza”, JSC “Bakery plant No.4”, JSC “Panzamash” and other enterprises with power energy. At this date substation is morally and technically out-of-date. That is why specialists of the branch of IDGC of Volga“, JSC – “Penzaenergo” will substitute present equipment with the modern one. Taking into account volume of reconstruction and impossibility of blackout of substation the reconstruction will be made on step by step basis. The fulfillment of first stage which costs over 37 million rubles is planned on 2009 year. After finishing of all reconstruction stages “Yuzhnaya” substation will meet the modern requirements and provide reliable and uninterrupted power supply of consumers in Penza.
