A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Dr. Rainer Seele, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Wintershall Holding AG took place today at Gazprom’s headquarters.

The parties highly evaluated the evolving cooperation between the companies, which embraces the entire process chain – from gas production to distribution and addressed the prospects for a joint entry of Gazprom and Wintershall Holding into large investment projects of mutual interest.

Background:

Operating in the energy sector, Wintershall Holding AG is a 100 per cent subsidiary of BASF Corporation.

Gazprom and Wintershall Holding have been cooperating for nearly 20 years. The companies established WINGAS and WIEH joint ventures.

BASF SE and Wintershall Holding AG are partners of Gazprom in developing the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas filed and the first pilot block of the Achimov deposits in the Urengoy oil, gas and condensate field, as well as in constructing the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
