Russia. PJSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MOEX, LSE:
HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) is awarded A+ rating in nomination Leading
corporate ESG practice in Russia conducted by Russian regional
network of integrated reporting, University of Perugia, Italy and Da
Strategia consulting company. The results of the rating ESG –
company’s value factor were reviewed at the round table in Moscow.
Besides RusHydro, nine other companies took the highest rating.
Analysis of environmental, social and corporate
government policies and their impact on financial performance of a
company are the main goals of the rating. Over 450 companies in 32
fields, which have a listing in the Moscow Exchange, took part in the
rating.
RusHydro is constantly engaged in improving its
ESG-profile. The Group takes into sustainable development factors
upon implementation of investment projects. Renewables represent the
majority of the Group’s assets. Increasing the share of renewables
in the company’s power balance is among the goals of the Group’s
environmental policy. By 2025, greenhouse gas emissions should
decrease by 6% as compared to 2015. Consequently, CO2 emissions as
well as emissions related to heat production will decrease by 7.7%
and 6.4% respectively.
Earlier in the year, the company’s shares were
included in Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
sustainability indices - Responsibility and Transparency Index and
Sustainability Vector Index.
