The 3rd Investment Forum “New Sources of Economic Growth of the Region” took place in the town of Penza from September, 3 to September 5, 2009. Four main sections of the forum contained projects in the industrial and agroindustrial complexes, innovation and computer technologies, development of the town and regional environment. “Penzaenergo”, the branch of “IDGC of Volga”, JSC, presented two projects on the forum: restoration of the substation “Yuzhnaya” of 110/6 KV and construction of the new substation “Arbekovo-3” of 110/10 KV. Carrying out of the first project of the restoration of the substation “Yuzhnaya” of 110/6 KV will enable to provide more reliable electric power supply of the central and southern areas of Penza, including increasing needs in the electric power at the construction of new dwelling houses, administrative buildings, social units and infrastructure. The second project, the construction of the new substation “Arbekovo” of 110/10 KV, is carried out in order to provide additional amount of electric power for lighting, heating and other needs of residents, for construction of trade and entertainment centres and multifunctional complexes along the highway Ì-5 “Ural”, as well as for development of the microdistrict Arbekovo on the whole, state farm “Zarya” and village Pobochino. Carrying out of these projects will raise reliability of the electric power supply for the existing consumers and create the required power reserve for connection of new customers.
