July 31, “The Karpov Chemical Plant” JSC (Mendeleyevsk Town) held an inauguration of an extruded cellular polystyrene (ECPS) production facility, 55 Km3pa. The Tatarstan President M. Shaimiyev and other officials, as well as V. Busigin, “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC General Director and Chairman of the above Plant Board of Directors, attended the ceremony.

A new production facility is set up as part of Nizhnekamsk Industrial Region, where “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC constitutes a base company. “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC supplies polystyrene as feedstock to produce ECPS, as well as expanding agent n-butane.
ECPS is one of the most up-to-date and efficient energy-saving insulation materials, exploited in a wide temperature range of – 50 to + 75°C.
