Severstal expands trade with Electolux

Test batch of Severstal made steel is shipped to the Swedish plant of Elextrolux, leading European household appliances producer.
"First year of Severstal cooperating with a leading Western company in household appliances is over. We have become Electrolux official supplier. Now we plan to expand the list of countries and the volume of sales," said Dmitry Goroshkov, Severstal director of sales.
Test batch results will become known in March when Eletrolux representatives visit Severstal. Then parties will discuss other business opportunities. Depending on the test batch results Severstal intends to ship 5-6 tones of steel a year to Swedish branch of Electrolux.
Electrolux is not the first Severstal client from the home appliances industry. Last year Severstal was listed among Phillips' suppliers. In 2002, Severstal intends to double the sales volume shipped to Phillips.
