The Agreement will allow to create conditions for reliable energy supply to Polyus Gold projects in the regions of presence in Russia and will help to develop gold deposits in Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk Region and Magadan Region.
In the course of the realization the main areas of cooperation the Companies intend to make the long-term mutually beneficial electricity and capacity supply agreements from JSC Rushydro’s existing and prospective power plants.
The Companies will elaborate effective schemes for power supply to JSC Polyus Gold projects, aimed at increasing the electricity supply and satisfying the growing needs of industry in Siberia and the Far East.
For instance, it is estimated, that development of Natalka deposit by JSC Polyus Gold will require 56 MW per year for the period from 2013 to 2016, 125 MW per year for the period from 2017 to 2021 and at 252 MW from 2022.
