IDGC of Volga, JSC developed and adopted the Standard containing key technical requirements and principles of power metering in the distribution electric grid complex of the Company. The necessity of a single concept for development of power metering complexes was generated by the requirements of metering system upgrading for the efficient monitoring of technological power transmission cycle and control modes, loss detection, power consumption optimization, ensuring of accurate and quick settlements for consumed power and capacity. Power engineers of IDGC of Volga, JSC perform the scheduled replacement of various integrated and interval metering devices with up-to-date systems. New metering devices are simultaneously integrated into the automated power metering system used for on-line remote control of power consumption modes. The specialists of the Company can receive data on the level and dynamics of consumption and loads in the areas of the distribution grid complex. The energy-saving and energy efficiency program adopted by IDGC of Volga, JSC for 2010-2016 includes the installation of over 340 thousand up-to-date power metering devices for various categories of consumers (population, terminals of apartment houses, legal entities, technical and commercial accounting) at the boundaries of responsibility of the grid complex.
