Moscow. 11 November 2005. RAO "UES of Russia" topped the ranking of Expert RA Rating Agency "Expert-400" in the category of "Leader of National Economy".

The Expert-400 ranking seeks to determine Russia's largest companies, and, based on their performance, to analyze the role of big businesses, their structure, and key development trends. The ranking is intended to enhance transparency of the Russian economy, thus contributing to its expansion, and to facilitate the establishment of partnership relations and inflow of investments.

Today, the Expert-400 ranking is the most representative list of Russia's leading companies. Over the decade of its existence, the ranking has won recognition both in Russia and beyond.

The ceremony to award the top-ranking companies was held today within the framework of the conference "Russia's Largest Companies: Basis for Economic Growth" organized by Expert RA Rating Agency and the Expert magazine. The Conference was attended by officials from ministries and government agencies, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of major Russian and foreign companies, foreign suppliers and consumers of Russian-made products, members of Russian and foreign mass media.
