The document was signed on the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the Russian-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held in Bukhara. The agreement provides for joint projects on construction and upgrade of the electric network infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan, interaction in elaboration of development schemes and programs for the electric power systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the neighboring countries.
This is also true for projects relating to power delivery from large-scale generation facilities under construction. This topic is up-to-date as National Power Grid of Uzbekistan JSC is primarily focused on operation and growth of the main network infrastructure (220-500 kV).
Moreover, the agreement provides for sharing experience and best practices on projects involving digital solutions and innovative technology.
In February 2020, the management of National Power Grid of Uzbekistan JSC made a working trip to Russia. The agenda included visits to several major power supply centers of the Moscow power grid system including 750 kV Gribovo, one of the most powerful substations in Europe.
Power engineers from Uzbekistan also visited 110 kV Medvedevskaya substation and the Rosseti Moscow region network management center, had a look at the Rosseti situation analysis center.
