Perm, 01.06.2007. Within the cooperation between Perm Heat Networks and Perm State Polytechnic University there was held Open house day. The students of Heat and Gas Supply, Ventilation and Urban-Industrial Environment Protection Chair visited heat networks facility.

The students of the 3^rd course of heat and gas supply and ventilation chair of the PSPU were lectured on the history of Perm Heat Networks, got acquainted with the work of the second operating area of PHN. During the excursion the students visited backbone networks, going from the heat source - Perm HPP-9 and visited 2 pump stations: increasing and decreasing. The students also visited the central heating supply centre, providing heat to “Novoplosky” micro-district located at Industrial District of Perm.

Close cooperation of Perm Heat Networks and the chair of heat and gas supply, ventilation and urban-industrial environment safety has become a good tradition. Two years on end, the students have visits to operating facilities of heat networks. The best students pass summer practice at the Perm Heat Networks.

Such excursions are an important part of cooperation of the station engineers and teachers of the PSPU. Oleg Aflatonov, the Director of Perm Heat Networks states: “Industrial process is specific at every industrial plant. Before the graduate can operate in a proper way he should be trained in a corresponding way. That is what we do.” According to the students, the visits to power plants allow them to get a practical view of their future job, as well as the basic working skills.
