TGC-1 has released its annual and fourth quarter production results from operations in 2012.
The volume of electricity generated by the company’s enterprises, including Murmanskaya CHPP, constituted 30,388.3 million kWh in 2012, which is 7.1% higher than the figure from 2011. The volume of electricity sales in the wholesale market increased by 9.5% in 2012, thanks to the sale of electricity on the day-ahead market, and constituted 34,196.8 million kWh.
The key drivers of growth in annual output were high water availability in 2H of 2012, efficient work with new power generating units, and the entry of the second unit of CCGT-180 of Pervomayskaya CHPP onto the wholesale market.
According to last year’s figures, HPP output increased by 12.3% to 13,498.9 million kW/h. CHPP output was fixed at 16,889.5 million kWh, which is 3.4% higher than in 2011. In Q4 of 2012, growth in electricity production was 14.8%, with a 21.5% increase in hydroelectric output and a 10.7% increase in CHPP output.
Total output in 2012 from the new energy generating units of the Yuzhnaya, Pervomayskaya and Pravoberezhnaya CHPPs constituted 4,550.9 million kWh, or 15.0% of total output, which is 36.1% higher than CCGT output from 2011 (3,345.0 million kWh or 11.8% of total output).
Considering the low temperatures of external air in the fourth quarter of 2012, heat energy output, including Murmanskaya CHPP, constituted 26,437,500 GCal, which is 1.5% higher than the figures for 2011. In Q4 of 2012, growth in heat energy output was fixed at 13.2% at 8,808,600 GCal.
