ALROSA will hand out its 2003 Annual Best Diamond Jewellery Awards in Gostiny Dvor in downtown Mosow on 19 May.
It will be the eighths consecutive ceremony. The Contest is part of ALROSA’s comprehensive program aimed at supporting jewellery art in Russia, promoting works by best Russian jewellers and designers, encouraging demand for diamond jewellery in the domestic market.
The Contest is held in three nominations:
-Best Jewellery with Large Diamond;
-Best Jewellery with Fancy-Shaped Diamonds;
-Best Jewellery Design with Small Diamonds.
The prize-winners among jewellery manufacturers in different years were Russkiye Samotsvety (1996), Yuveliry Urala (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001); Sakhayuvelir (1999), Syrin (1997, 1999), Kameya (1997), Russkaya Yuvelirnaya Manufaktura (1998, 1999, 2000), Smolensk Kristall (2001) and others.
Yuri A. Dudenkov, candidate of mineralogy, ALROSA Vice President, Marketing and Sales, is head of the jury that also includes leading jewellery art experts and prominent personalities of the Russian diamond business. ALROSA senior managers are expected to attend the ceremony.
The winners will be presented with prizes, diplomas and prize money.
65 applications were sent in for the participation in the 2003 Contest. Among the contestants there were Almaz Holding, Art-Modern (Moscow), Zolotaya Orkhideya (Izhevsk), Kast (St. Petersburg), Kah?long, Kostroma Jewellery Plant, Smolensk Kristall, Petrozoloto (St. Petersburg), TD Russkaya Yuvelirnaya Manufaktura-K, Russkiye Remyosla Centre, Stella-Exclusive, Topaz (Kostroma), Ermi (Yekaterinburg), Estet (Moscow), Yuvelirny Dom (Yekaterinburg), etc.
The ceremony will take place in the Atrium amphitheatre at 17:30.
