Khanty-Mansiysk – At its meeting, the tender commission of UTair Aviation chose companies that would continue bidding for the right to supply five turbo-prop short-range aircraft to the airline.
The commission met in Surgut on May 14, 2004.
Specialists of the company and international consultants from Ernst & Young and Denton Wilde Sapte (Great Britain) analyzed the technical and financial parameters of commercial proposals from tender participants and submitted the results of the analysis to the tender commission.
Based on these materials the commission decided to select two types of aircraft for the final stage of the tender. These are ATR-42 (the France-based ATR and the Irish leasing company Magellan) and DASH-8 (the Canada-based Bombardier) that meet the requirements of economic efficiency under the conditions of the route network of UTair.
Official notices of the adopted decision will be sent to all participants of the tender today.
As reported earlier, UTair announced an open tender to supply (lease) five turbo-prop short-range aircraft with about 35 to 60 passenger seats each on October 25, 2003.
