Moscow, 3 November 2005. Member of the Management Board and Financial Director of RAO "UES of Russia" Sergey Dubinin has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Government of the Russian Federation for his major personal contribution to the construction and commissioning of the Bureyskaya HPP. An Order to that effect was signed by Mikhail Fradkov, Chairman of the Russian Government.
Certificates of Merit of the Russian Government were also granted to Director General of OAO "Bureyskaya HPP" Yury Gorbenko and Director General of OAO "BureyaGESstroy" Gennady Kuznetsov.
The Bureyskaya HPP is the largest hydroelectric construction project in Russia over the past 15 years. It is of great importance for developing and improving reliability of the Far East energy system and the entire electricity industry of Russia.
On Sunday, November 6th, an official ceremony will be held in the settlement of Talakan, Amursk Region, to commission the fourth hydropower unit at the Bureyskaya HPP. When the plant's fourth power unit is brought on line, the capacity of the Bureyskaya HPP will increase by half to 1005 MW from 670 MW.
