On working meeting between Alexey Miller and Alexey Gordeev

Gazprom’s Headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Alexey Gordeev, Governor of the Voronezh Oblast.

The meeting considered the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between Gazprom and the Voronezh Oblast Administration.

Special emphasis was placed on the Oblast gasification. Alexey Miller and Alexey Gordeev highly appreciated the cooperation results in this area and discussed plans for the near future.

 

Background:

The Agreement of Cooperation was signed between Gazprom and the Voronezh Oblast Administration in October 2003, the Gasification Accord – in February 2001.

In 2008 Gazprom supplied circa 4.8 billion cubic meters of gas to the Voronezh Oblast consumers. Supplies for the current year are projected approximately in the same amount.

Natural gas penetration in the Voronezh Oblast averages 71.5 per cent including 89.8 per cent in cities and towns and 42 per cent in rural area (throughout Russia – 62, 67 and 44 per cent respectively).

Between 2002 and 2008 Gazprom allocated RUB 3.238 billion to gasify the Voronezh Oblast. Between 2006 and 2008 over 20.1 thousand apartments and households were gasified, 98 boiler houses were switched to gas in the Voronezh Oblast.

In 2009 Gazprom plans to invest RUB 370 million in the regional gasification so as to continue the construction of 14 inter-settlement pipelines with the total length of around 238 km.
