Beginning from November 1, 2004 OJSC FETEC has reduced the cost of connection to Internet using DSL technology in Primorye, Khabarovsk, Amur, Kamchatka and Sakhalin regions by 10 to 25%.
Cost of Internet access using DSL technology including cost of subscriber’s device and installation in Khabarovsk, Kamchatka and Amur region will amount to 9,900 rubles (previous cost 10,890; 12,700 and 12,700 rubles respectively).
Cost of connection in Sakhalin region will amount to 11,000 rubles for Standard tariff plan (previously 12,700 rubles), 9,900 rubles for Premium (previously 10,900 rubles) and 7,000 rubles for Business (previously 7,900 rubles).
OJSC FETEC introduces an additional Premium tariff plan in Primorye. The cost of access to user’s xDSL port through existing telephone line including cost of subscriber’s device, telephone line testing, assignment of subscriber’s E-mail address and installation under Premium tariff will make 6,000 rubles.
The clients who with to install equipment themselves will have to pay 5,100 rubles for connection under Premium tariff.
Those clients who were connected before November 1, 2004 can be shifted to Premium tariff free of charge. Tariff plan can be changes at least three months after connection.
OJSC FETEC is reducing cost of connection under Standard tariff from 10,800 down to 9,400 rubles (including installation) and from 9,900 down to 8,500 rubles (excluding installation).
Subscriber’s fee under Premium tariff is 1,350 (including 1 Gb of incoming traffic). According to Olga Salomakhina, counselor of Deputy Director General of OJSC FETEC for business development affairs, Internet access using DSL technology is now affordable for most users of various categories.
Olga Salomakhina stated that in the nearest future OJSC FETEC plans to distribute Internet access using DSL technology on the whole territory covered by the Company services, to ensure proper Internet access quality, to develop new tariff plans and to open new outlets.
