Moscow, 28 January 2009. Foreign power plants of the INTER RAO UES Group – Mtkvari Energy LLC, JSC Khramhesi-1 and Khramhesi-2 (Georgia), JSC Armianskaya Atomnaya Electrostansia (Armenian Nuclear Power Plant), CJSC International Power Corporation (Armenia), JSC Stantsia Ekibastuzskaya GRES-2 (Kazakhstan), JSC Sangtudinskaya GES-1 (Tajikistan), and CJSC Moldavskaya GRES – have taken stock of their operating activities in 2008.
In 2008 nearly all foreign power plants that are members of the INTER RAO UES Group exceeded their annual targets for the generation of electric power. The total annual quantity of electric power generated by the Group's foreign assets was 14.1 billion kWh.
The top figure for the generation of electric power in 2008, 6.2 billion kWh, was recorded by JSC Stantsia Ekibastuzskaya GRES-2. This figure is a record high for the station. Until now, JSC Stantsia Ekibastuzskaya GRES-2 maximum output of electric power was recorded in 2004 at 5.6 billion kWh.
