Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, and Andrei Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Oblast, signed a cooperation agreement between the company and the oblast government, in Krasnogorsk today. The agreement will be valid till December 31, 2018.
As part of the document, the parties plan to work together on the following projects: construction of an oil-product pipeline to supply light petroleum products, manufactured by the Nizhny Novgorod refinery, to the Moscow Oblast; expansion of LUKOIL’s network of filling stations in the Moscow Oblast; development of a social and shopping infrastructure at the company’s filling stations.
The agreement also provides for the development of a logistic infrastructure for storage, transshipment and sales of light petroleum products, jet fuel, oils and bitumens, and also for the development of an infrastructure to collect spent oils.
LUKOIL will carry out a number of environment-protection measures, including sales of petroleum products with improved eco properties, and also engage, basing on the results of bidding, production and research organizations of the Moscow Oblast.
“We regard the Moscow Oblast as a critical area for our activities, and LUKOIL will do its best to ensure uninterrupted supplies of high-quality, eco-friendly petroleum products to the oblast,” Mr. Alekperov commented.
