The OAO LUKOIL Press Service reports a fire outbreak at 15.50 on May 21, 2014 at Usinskoye field, operated by OOO LUKOIL-Komi. The fire occurred at the 5,000-cubic-meter process tank of an oil-treatment facility.

Whatever action is appropriate  to control the fire is now being taken by the company jointly with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The incident poses no threat to the environment. An investigation of what caused the fire is underway.

The oil-treatment facility is 26 kilometers away from the town of Usinsk.
