Moscow, March 21, 2006. General Director of OJSC «CenterTelecom» Sergei Pridantsev and the directors of the Company’s regional branches participated in the work of «Telecommunications» section, which has been held today in the framework of the enlarged Session of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication of the Russian Federation Board devoted to the results of 2005, tasks for 2006 and medium-term outlook.
Representatives of Russia’s Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication, Federal Service of Communications Control, Federal Communication Agency, OJSC «Svyazinvest» and interregional communication companies, OJSC «Rostelecom», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Russian Satellite Communications Company», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Moscow City Radio Broadcasting Network», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Research and Development Institute of Radio», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Central Research and Development Institute of Communications», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Saint-Petersburg Research and Development Institute of Telecommunications», Federal State Unitary Enterprise «State Specialised Design Institute for Radio and TV» also participated in work of round table on telecommunications issues.
The participants of the meeting have discussed the issues of communication operators cooperation in the framework of the new regulatory and legal base adopted for implementation of the Federal Law «About Telecommunications», implementation of the regulatory and legal acts in the field of the state regulation of pricing, particularities of the Group of Companies OJSC «Svyazinvest» telecommunication networks development in 2005 and prospects for 2006 and first results of OJSC «Rostelecom» activities under the conditions of liberalization of the long-distance communication services market.
Besides that, the results of activities of the Coordination Council on Information Security of Infocommunication Networks and Systems, the procedure of tenders organization for the right to provide universal communication services, problems of development of mobile radio communication networks of the Federal standard TETRA and the results of implementation of the Federal Space Program on Orbital Grouping of Civil Communication Satellites and its development prospects have been discussed during the work of the section.
