Moscow - CenterTelecom OJSC reports that on 28 June its Smolensk branch has taken part in Youth IT Forum held in Smolensk within the framework of SMOLA 2010 Open Youth Forum.

Among the participants of the opening ceremony of the forum were Pyotr Lopashinov, Deputy Governor of Smolensk region, Chief of IT, Telecommunications and Electronic Services Department, and Nikolai Kovalenko, Deputy General Director, Director of Smolensk branch, CenterTelecom.

Owing to efforts of CenterTelecom the young people participating in the forum could use free high speed Internet access and watch TV using Domolink TV service. According to Mr. Kovalenk, it was in line with the company’s slogan “High Quality Telecommunications Services for All, Individual Approach to Everyone.”

Mr. Kovalenko handed a letter of gratitude signed by Vaagn Martirosyan, General Director, CenterTelecom, to Pyotr Lopashinov. In his letter Mr. Martirosyan thanked Mr. Lopashinov personally and Telecommunications and Electronic Services Department headed by Mr. Lopashinov for contribution to implementation of CenterTelecom’s social project "Age is Not an Obstacle for Internet Literacy" aimed at development of the senior citizens' computer skills.

The representatives of Smolensk branch of CenterTelecom pointed out that they were happy with open and sincere dialog with its existing and potential young customers taking part in the forum. The participants of the forum got answers to their questions. The participation in the event allowed CenterTelecom’s representatives to build relations with young people contributing to development of modern information community in Smolensk Region.
