In compliance with the schedule approved by General Director of OAO MOSENERGO the following works will take place on September 18, 20 and 22: meetings of the construction projects working group, completion of heat-engineering and electrical installation works, as well as start-up operations at power unit No. 3 of PGU-450? of CHP No. 27.

The working group, together with representatives of the Design and Construction Complex of OAO MOSENERGO and contractors, will consider the following issues:

• Start-up operations and preparation for launching gas turbines Nos. 1 and 2,
• Preparedness of the diesel fuel facilities for fuel supply to the main building of the power unit,
• Laying of cable routes,
• Pipe laying of the thermal coupling,
• Installation of a chimney shaft,
• Installation of networks for lighting, ventilation and power supply to the lift equipment.

Power unit No. 3 of CHP No. 27 will be built over a period of 22 months and is unique in the Russian power engineering. The commissioning period will be brought forward through the efforts of OAO MOSENERGO’s own Design and Construction Complex and also by the efficient cooperation between OAO MOSENERGO and its contractors. Power unit No. 3 PGU-450T at CHP-27 will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2007.

At present OAO MOSENERGO is involved in the construction of four modern combined-cycle power units with 1770 MW capacity at CHP Nos. 21, 26 and 27; this work is part of the first stage of the Programme for Development and Technical Upgrading, and is also preparing sites and design work for the installation of gas turbines and combined-cycle power units at CHP Nos. 9, 12, 16 and CHP-20 in the second and third stages of the Programme.

Start-up operations are under way at power unit No. 3 of PGU-450T at CHP-27. At the same time, preparations are in progress for laying the foundation and installing metal structures of power unit No. 4 of PGU-450T at CHP-27. Installation of the wall panels of the main building body, and construction of foundations for the turbines for power unit No. 11 at PGU-450T are in progress.

On Saturday, September 22, 2007, the meeting of the working group for the construction of power unit No. 11 of PGU- 450T will take place at CHP No. 21 of OAO MOSENERGO.
