On June 30, AO MOSENERGO held a meeting to discuss the preparation for winter peak loads. The meeting was attended by the general director Arkady Yevstafyev, the chief engineer Igor Goryunov, his deputies and heads of AO MOSENERGO branches.
The speakers pointed out that all repairs at electric stations are conducted in accordance with pre-set schedules. The preparation of the Moscow system also includes the mandatory testing of heating lines. As of today, the company has tested and carried out preventive maintenance on more than 1,468 km of pipe lines which amounts to 66% of AO MOSENERGO’s heating lines. In preparation for the heating season, the Company plans to replace more than 70 km of pipes, as well as lay 12 km of pipes in polyurethane foam. As of end-August, the preventive maintenance of AO MOSENERGO’s lines will be completed.
In addition, the deputy chief engineer of AO MOSENERGO Dmitry Barshak said there were no delays in the maintenance program and the program for the restructuring of the equipment. In particular, AO MOSENERGO plans to upgrade turbine no. 5 at CHP-20, power unit no.4 at GRES-4, power boiler no.10 at CHP-22, chimney at GRES-5 and some other facilities.
The upgrade of power facilities will allow the company to maintain reliable power supply and improve the quality of service.
